The extension is a sympathetic addition to a post war terraced house in Peckham.
The distinctive concrete overhang to the main roof is replicated on the extension in timber. The change in material reveals the different construction method used for the new construction. The overhang is only above the door as its main use is to reduce solar gain alongside being a decorative element.
The new living spaces facing the garden are connected to the kitchen by a modern interpretation of a serving hatch, a typical design for a house of this period.
