Leaside
Architecture, Conservation and Interior Design
A reconfiguring of a large Edwardian house. All rooms on the top floor were removed to start again with a big space. We sensitively re-worked the rear roof to create a large dramatic opening.
The large room spanned from the front to the back of the house. We divided the space using joinery that gave texture to the rooms. High level windows ensured that the lightness of the space was maintained and historic details such as the picture rail gave all the elements structure and order.
The works also included design to an office, laundry room and a guest suite. These were all designed to be sympathetic to the idea of Muswell Hill interiors and the overall feel of the house.
